Remember the last time you had to come up with a password? Uppercase letter, number, special character... and a week later you'd forgotten it. Or — worse — you used the same one you use everywhere else.
You're not alone. The vast majority of people reuse the same password across dozens of different websites. It's understandable. Remembering twenty different passwords is simply not realistic.
But that's exactly the problem.
Your password isn't where you think it is
When you register on a website, your password travels to the operator's server. And you have no idea who's behind that site, how technically competent they are, or whether they store your password securely — or whether they just save it as plain text that anyone can read.
All it takes is one data breach. One misconfigured server. One site run with bad intentions. And your password is out in the open. And since it's the same password you use for your email...
We all know how that ends.
That's why we got rid of passwords
At Veruno, we don't use passwords. At all.
Your access is tied to your email address — and only that. Sign-in works via a magic link: you enter your email, a link arrives in your inbox, you click it, you're in. No username, no password, nothing to forget.
Your email is your stronghold. If it's secured, so is Veruno. An attacker who never got your password simply cannot get in.

A magic link is convenient. But it still requires switching to your email, finding the message, clicking. Can we make it faster?
Yes. And even more secure.
We're introducing biometric sign-in — a technology called Passkeys. After your first sign-in via the email link, the system will invite you to a simple one-time setup: allow sign-in using your fingerprint or face scan, just like you unlock your phone or laptop.
From that point on, you sign in with a single touch. No email, no waiting. Your phone or computer recognises you and confirms your identity instantly — locally on your device, without anything sensitive ever leaving it.
Your face or fingerprint is never sent to our servers. The entire verification happens directly on your device, and we only receive a cryptographic confirmation that it's really you.
Security that doesn't slow you down
The biggest problem with traditional passwords is that security and convenience work against each other. A secure password is complex, a complex password is hard to remember, a hard-to-remember password ends up written on a sticky note or reused across a dozen sites.
Passkeys solve this conflict. They are more secure than any password — and more convenient than anything you've used before.
This is the direction authentication is heading. At Veruno, we're already there.
Passkeys are available on Apple devices (Face ID, Touch ID), Android, and modern computers with Windows Hello. If your device doesn't support this feature, the magic link remains a fully functional alternative — always.
